Although we love our French Champagne, there are a few drops here that compete with the best of them. So while you're in the wonderful Hunter Valley we think you will appreciate trying Stonehurst's 2009 Méthode Champenoise, a decidedly brut Chardonnay-Semillon. Very fine bubbles, dry fruity nose, a richly flavoured creamy palate and very good length. It is made with the traditional French method and Tiraged seasonally for 6 years. If the sound of those bubbles don't tickle your fancy we will happily replace it on the menu with a mid market French Champagne for an additional $25.
